Game Update 3

Each portal will take you to a new area depending on if you have the right items in your inventory. As you progress through the levels you will get materials from the resource nodes as well as the enemies. When you have enough of two items from a certain world you can craft an amulet that will give you access to a moon boss which will give you a key to unlock the new planet to explore. Mining the resources are the only way to get minerals and killing the enemies with the gun will grant you the additional component needed to make the amulet. The goal is to craft at each planet and kill each boss to get the final key to attempt to kill the boss and win the game.
